 GETTING THERE

Dasol is a 5-hour drive from Manila, but it took us 12 hours to get to Dasol! Well, first  of all, we set a wrong destination in Waze -I realized that we were heading back to Manila at one point! Also, Waze let us pass through three busy towns, and we got stuck in three different funeral procession. We should have stayed out the town.

We passed on a very rough road a few kilometers away from our resort. The roads are not yet paved so it is better bring a car that can handle rough trails.

 ACCOMMODATION

We stayed in R Paradise for our overnight stay in Dasol. Vivian (owner) was responsive to my inquiries through Viber. However, seeing the room was actually quite disappointing because it looked different from the pictures online. But since we already deposited Php 1,500 to reserve the room, there was no backing out.

The room and bathroom looked like it needed some renovation. Some portions of the wall were rotting. And the bathroom was not cleaned when we came, but they were very prompt in cleaning it up. Plus, I did not like that the only thing that separated us with the other room was a thin wall. The other room decided to pull an all-nighter so it was hard for us to sleep through the night, hearing all their chitchats and laughters.

ITINERARY

Since Dasol only had Tambobong Beach to offer, we didn’t really have an itinerary. We left Manila at 3 in the morning, and got to the resort a little bit before 3pm because of our mishaps. We swam, drank and lit up a sky lantern at night.

 DESTINATIONS

The beach area of R Paradise was not so nice. It had a lot of seaweeds. It was very rocky in the water that we had to wear our sandals. The water was too warm, and it was low-tide. I did not enjoy my swim at all.

Sunrise is a good idea in Dasol. We woke up early to witness the first rays of the sun. While waiting, we did a bit of coastal clean-up.

FOOD

We already bought food for consumption in the Burgos Market to save money. In R Paradise, you either grill your own food, or ask them for a “paluto.” We chose to request for a paluto since they only had one communal grilling station for all guests, and we wanted to just chill through the day.
